Target Gender Equality (TGE) is an accelerator program to support participating companies of the UN Global Compact in setting and reaching ambitious corporate targets for women’s representation and leadership across business at all levels, through facilitated performance analysis, capacity-building workshops, peer-to-peer learning, and multi-stakeholder dialogues at the country level.
Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN) recently conducted the fourth round of this accelerator program for UN Global Compact participants. The focus was on helping companies set and achieve robust targets for female representation and narrowing the gender pay gap. Thirteen companies participated in this round, led by Dr. iur. Asmin Fransiska, S.H., LL.M., Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Andriko Sugianto Otang, S.H., M.H., Lecturer of the Faculty of Law, both from Atma Jaya Catholic University.
The program consists of live modules, global sessions, and UN Global Compact academy modules, which participants must complete. For this particular round, IGCN collaborated with Atma Jaya Catholic University to conduct the final offline module, allowing participants to concentrate better. This session occurred on 7 December, with support from PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, PT Harmoni Dinamik Indonesia, and APP Sinarmas.
In February, IGCN will host an inauguration event for participants who have completed all sessions and are actively working on their action plans to implement Target Gender Equality within their respective companies. Additionally, IGCN is set to organize the fifth round of TGE in 2024, so stay tuned for more details.
