Hati Suci Foundation held its annual bazaar this year in Rumah Hati Suci on 3 June 2018. The Foundation prepared 2,000 packages of basic foods worth Rp 40 thousand per package that is destined for less fortunate families around the foundation area.
The Leader of the Hati Suci Foundation, Francisca Setiati, said she has been organizing a bazaar for the last 18 years and this year, this bazaar earned Rp. 250 Million.
Providing daily necessities such as groceries, wearable clothing, stationery, and other necessities on every Ramadan Month, the yield that they earn from this bazaar will be allocated for Hati Suci Foundation’s children’s education fund. During 18 years of organizing, they have managed to send 30 more orphanages to college. At this time there are 6 children who are still in college and this year there are 5 children who will go to Higher Education.
Hati Suci Foundation is a social organization that runs the Orphanage and the Hati Suci School from elementary to high school level. The Sacred Heart Foundation was first established in 1914 by Mrs. Lie Tjian Tjoen under the name Rumah Ati Soetji. The house originally served as a shelter for trafficked women victims, where they could get skills training and provision for their future.
