Introduction of PRISMA 2.0 by DJHAM, 22 December 2023

The General Directorate of Human Rights (Direktorat Jenderal HAM) held a coordination meeting with the National Task Force on Business and Human Rights (GTN BHAM) to introduce the Human Rights Risk Assessment Application 2.0 (PRISMA 2.0).

The event took place at The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta on Friday (22/12/2023) and was attended by various business stakeholders and members of GTN BHAM, including the Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN). The event was also attended online by regional offices of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Director General of Human Rights, Dhahana Putra, delivered a welcome address and guidance. He explained that GTN BHAM was established by Presidential Regulation Number 60 of 2023 on the National Business and Human Rights Strategy. He said that GTN BHAM consists of three working groups with specific tasks as mandated in the Business and Human Rights National Strategy.

He also mentioned the importance of the Regional Business and Human Rights Task Force (GTD BHAM), which is an extension of GTN BHAM. According to him, GTD BHAM plays a crucial role in overseeing business and human rights actions in the regions. He hopes that GTD BHAM can contribute to better implementation of business and human rights at the regional level.

Following the Director General of Human Rights address, the activities continued with a discussion and question-and-answer session with the participants.

Supported by the Raoul Wallenberg Institute (RWI), the organizers also explained the new features of PRISMA 2.0 during the event. Participants had the opportunity to try out the latest version of the PRISMA application for the first time.

It’s worth noting that the application update aims to enhance PRISMA’s effectiveness, user-friendliness, and overall performance. This development comes after gathering feedback from users, including business practitioners, academics, civil society organizations, and others involved in using the PRISMA application.
