IGCN and BAPPENAS continue to join forces to promote sustainable business practices and support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia. Their collaboration began in 2022 when they launched the UN Global Compact’s SDG 16 Business Framework tools to public listed companies, and this year, they plan to strengthen their partnership with more awareness-raising and capacity-building activities.
On January 24th, IGCN and BAPPENAS held a bilateral meeting to discuss a holistic approach to combating corruption and strengthening governance, encouraging public and private sector collaboration, and promoting collective action. The meeting was attended by high-level officials from both organizations, including Bapak Slamet Soedarsono (Acting Deputy of Politic, Law, Defense and Security), Bapak Dewo Broto Joko P. (Director of Law and Regulation) and Rezafaraby (Coordinator of Policy and Regulatory Synergy) from BAPPENAS, as well as Josephine S.(Executive Director), Ani Rahardjo (Director), Mita Listya (Project Manager – Anti Corruption Collective Action), and Aina Fadilla (Project Coordinator) from IGCN.
This meeting marks an important step forward in promoting sustainable and ethical business practices in Indonesia. Through their continued partnership, IGCN and BAPPENAS aim to create a business environment that promotes good governance, transparency, and accountability. With their shared commitment to the SDGs and sustainable development, IGCN and BAPPENAS are working to build a brighter future for Indonesia and the world.
