Business Ethics and Governance Working Group: Strengthening Ethical Business Practices and Transparency in Public-Private Collaboration

UN Global Compact Network Indonesia, in collaboration with PPM Manajemen and MedcoEnergi, convened the Business Ethics and Governance Working Group to advance public-private sector transparency at PPM Manajemen, Jakarta (February 28, 2025)

The session, titled “Working with Government Officials,” began with remarks from Tjahjono Soerjodibroto of PPM Foundation highlighting businesses’ need to align with SDG Ambition goals. Josephine Satyono, IGCN executive director, followed by emphasizing how ethical governance drives long-term sustainability. The presentations continued with Dian Rachmawati from KPK outlining corporate corruption prevention strategies, followed by Ronny Siahaan from MedcoEnergi sharing valuable insights from the energy sector’s experience with government interactions. Aditayani Indra Kukila from PT Binaman Utama – PPM Manajemen concluded the session by explaining frameworks for building sustainable ethical practices.

This dialogue strengthens collective commitment to respectful business-government relations through practices that uphold ethics and accountability, marking a significant step toward a more transparent business ecosystem in Indonesia.
