UN Global Compact Network Indonesia (IGCN) hosted the highly anticipated seminar, “ESG and The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact” on 25 November 2024 in collaboration with the Institute for Sustainability and Agility (ISA) and BINUS University. The event took place at the BINUS International – JWC Campus and gathered industry leaders, experts, and sustainability practitioners to delve into the integration of the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into ESG strategies.
The seminar began with insightful opening remarks from Andyni Khosasih, M.Lit., representing BINUS University, and Joseph Dharmabrata, Chairman of PT Trans Javagas Pipeline & IGCN Board of Supervisors. The first session, “The Ten Principles and Why They Matter,” was delivered by Y. W. Junardy, President of UN Global Compact Network Indonesia (IGCN), followed by Maria R. Nindita Radyati, Ph.D., President Director of ISA and IGCN VP Resilient and Inclusive Business, who presented on “ESG and Its Connection to the Ten Principles.”
A dynamic panel discussion moderated by Maria R. Nindita Radyati, Ph.D. explored critical issues and challenges, with contributions from distinguished panelists, including Dr. Patricia Rinwigati (Director of Djokosoetono Research Center), Dr. M. Aditya Warman (Board of Supervisor of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan & IGCN VP Resilient and Inclusive Business), Amanda Katili Niode, Ph.D. (Director of The Climate Reality Project Indonesia) who was represented by Arifah Handayani (Community Action Manager, The Climate Reality Project Indonesia), Noke Kiroyan (Chairman & President Commissioner of Kiroyan Partners & IGCN Board of Supervisors), and Dr. Roosalina Wulandari (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, BINUS University). The event concluded with the Soft Launching of the IGCN Academy by Y. W. Junardy, a key milestone in IGCN’s journey to empower organizations with practical tools for sustainable development.
This event inspired participants to embrace the Ten Principles as a guiding framework to advance ESG commitments, address sustainability challenges, and drive impactful change within their organizations.
