IGCN Actively Contributed to the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the UN Global Compact’s Tenth Principle on Anti-Corruption

IGCN, represented by President Yaya Winarno Junardy and Program Manager Business Ethic and Governance Aina P. Fadilla, actively contributed to the 20th-anniversary celebration of the UN Global Compact’s Tenth Principle at Loft and Garden at Rockefeller Center New York on September 23, 2024. The event marked two decades of global efforts to combat corruption, bringing together business leaders, governments, and civil society to reflect on past achievements and discuss future challenges in fostering business integrity.

Sanda Ojiambo, Assistant Secretary-General and CEO of the UN Global Compact highlighted the importance of continuing the fight against corruption. She called for renewed commitment from businesses and governments to promote transparency and accountability, stressing that integrity should be the foundation of global business practices.

The event featured networking, interactive discussions, and a film showcasing the impact of the Tenth Principle. It also celebrated 15 years of Collective Action initiatives, encouraging companies worldwide to strengthen anti-corruption efforts through new projects, including the “Uniting Leaders for Business Integrity” initiative. The event featured two important figures in the history of the UN Global Compact: Georg Kell, Founding Executive Director of UN Global Compact, and Peter Eilgen, Father of Principle Ten of the UN Global Compact.
