Jakarta, 29 April 2024 – Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN) and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) marked an important milestone in their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which aims to strengthen synergies within their network to support the progress of research and innovation in Indonesia.
The MoU signing ceremony took place on Monday, April 29, 2024, at BRIN Office, Jakarta. This MoU signifies a joint commitment between BRIN and IGCN to utilize their respective strengths and resources towards the common goal of encouraging research and innovation in Indonesia. This collaboration emphasizes the importance of partnerships and collective action in achieving nation-building goals.
Among the dignitaries who attended the event were: Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko, M.Sc, Chairman of National Research and Innovation Agency Republic of Indonesia; Prof. Dr. Ir. Amarulla Octavian, S.T., M.Sc., DESD., ASEAN Eng., Deputy Head of BRIN; Dr. Mego Pinandito, M. Eng, Deputy Chairman for Development Policy; Dr. R. Hendrian, M.Sc., Deputy for Utilization of Research and Innovation; Mulyadi Sinung Harjono, Director of Utilization of Research and Innovation by Industry; Y. W. Junardy, President of IGCN; and Josephine Satyono, Executive Director of IGCN.
The event agenda included the official signing of the MoU followed by speeches from key stakeholders highlighting the significance of this partnership in driving sustainable development through research and innovation.
