Indonesia Global Compact Network IGCN and Western Sydney University established a cooperative and productive relationship by signing MoU on Friday 17th March 2023 in Jakarta.
A semi-formal agenda was arranged for the signatory of the MoU containing the agreement between Western Sydney University and IGCN in terms of:
The agenda was commenced by opening remarks from Prof Deborah Sweeney - Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Enterprise, and International). In her statement, she highlighted that “as the Western Sydney University is placed at the 1st University in the worldwide in the impact ranking towards SDGs (Source: https://www.timeshighereducation.com/impactrankings), we would like to strengthen our commitment in SDGs with stronger and strategic collaboration”
Furthermore, the opening remarks were also delivered by Mr. Andrew Parker - Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner as well as Y.W. Junardy, President IGCN and President Commissioner of PT Rajawali Corpora and Mr. Joseph Dharmabrata, Chair of Board of Supervisor IGCN and CEO of PT Trans Java Gas Pipeline.
The session was followed by a signatory of the MoU between Western Sydney University by Prof Deborah Sweeney and Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN) by Y.W. Junardy. This signatory was witnessed by Mr. Joseph Dharmabrata, Mr. Prasetyantoko Phd and Mr. Timotheus Lesmana from IGCN while from Western Sydney University were Prof Linda Taylor, Prof Michele Simons, Mr. Bill Parasiris and Mr. Nicholas Bizzanelli. Moreover, Mr. Andrew Parker and Ms. Meinanda Chudahman also witnessed the signatory.
Afterwards, the agenda was continued by a discussion aimed to strengthen and develop the strategic collaborations and partnership between Western Sydney University and IGCN.
