Initiated by Indonesia Philanthropy Association, the Indonesia Philanthropy Festival 2016 (IPFest 2016) – âFostering Partnership for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)â was conducted in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on 6-9 October 2016. This biennial event marked the largest philanthropy event conducted for the year. IGCN participated in the opening plenary session by presenting âMultistakeholders Partnership for the Achievement of SDGs.â
We also set up an exhibition booth showcasing the SDGs that IGCN and its members are currently focusing, namely : Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). The programs below highlight these 3 SDGs :
- âRain Water Harvesting and Reverse Osmosisâ program (Atma Jaya Catholic University)
- âBeauty Green – Beautifying Indonesia, Greening the Nationâprogram (Martha Tilaar Group)
- Interfaith Mass Wedding for âFulfilling the Civil Rights of the Under-Privileged Indonesian Familiesâ. This program has been an ongoing IGCNâs Business for Peace program.â (Yayasan Pondok Kasih)

- âCommunity Education to Raise Awareness of Water Security and Water Quality in Small Islandsâ a partnership project between IGCNâs Indonesia Water Mandate Working Group and Indonesian Science Institute with the support of UNESCO at Pari Island, Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta
- Uni Papua Football Community for Friendship and Peace – children character building through sports (Uni Papua)
